Chakrata is a small & beautiful village of Uttarakhand comes under Garwhal Rifle and hardly 80 kms from Capital Dehradun.

To reach Chakrata by bus from Delhi.
There is no direct bus available from Delhi to Chakrata. you have to take bus to Dehradun, which will be approximately 6-7 hours journey, it will be good if you do it over night. After reaching to Dehrdaun there are two option to reach Chakrata by private taxi and by local city bus both are easily available but bus city bus run on specific time interval only. If you chose to go by taxi then you will reach Chakrata in around 3 hours. and if you are going by bus then Bus will take you till Vikas Nagar and then from Vikas Nagar you have to take shared taxi to reach Chakrata in total it will be 4-5 hours of Journey.

To reach Chakrata by Train from Delhi
Nearest railway station is Dehrdun which is approximately 80 kms from Dehradun. Dehdradun railway station is well connected to all the major cities of India. It is suggestable to take the night train so that you reach Dehradun early morning. as it will take 3-4 hours to reach Chakrata from Dehradun. From Dehradun Railway Station you can easily take private taxi to reach Chakrata and if you are in plan to reach Chakrata by bus from Dehradun then there is no direct bus available, bus will take you till Vikas Nagar and then from Vikas Nagar you have to take shared taxi.
