Chaubatia Gardens
10 kms south of Ranikhet are the famous orchards, which remain laden with fruits round the year. Ranikhet is known for its delicious apples, apricots, peaches and various other alpine fruits. You can buy them right from the growers. There is also a government run Fruit Research Centre. Bhalu Dam nearby in the background of the beautiful lake created by this dam attracts tourist round the year. -
Kumaon Regiment Centre Museum
An uphill road takes you to the KRC Museum from the Mall. The Museum displays memorabilia from the regimental past the traditional costumes and armours used by the regiment in the past battle, medals won etc. The Kumaon Regiment Widows Welfare Association runs a shawl-weaving centre here, which is worth a visit. -
Upat
Golfing at the top pf the hills. One of the highest golf course in India. Its's a army golf course, but civilians can use it, paying a fee. It's open round the year. -
Mankameshwar
An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is the beautiful temple adjacent to Nara Singh Ground has been rebuilt by the Jawans of Kumaon Regiment. -
Tarikhet
8Km from Ranikhet. Gandhiji stayed here in the 1920s. His cottage is major tourist attraction. The famous hill temple of Golu Devta can also be visited at Tarikhet. -
Jhoola Devi Mandir
7kms from Ranikhet. A famous temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. -
Dwarahat
64kms from Ranikhet on the Karnaprayag road. Once the centre of Katyuri rulers, Dwarhat is of much historical and archaeological imporatance. Later it became associated with the Chand rulers. This place is famous for it's cluster of temples. A fair is held every year in April. -
Sitlakhet
28kms from Ranikhet, It's a scenic spot, with unparalleled beauty lost in the Himalayas, amid green forest and apple orchards. The famous temple of Syahi Devi is situated nearby.
