Itinerary (Day wise Trek detail):
- Day 01 : Manali - Chika (10, 100 feet) via Jobra
The adventurous activity from the Hampta pass trekking begins with the journey from Manali to Jobra. It takes an hour and many hairpin bends to arrive at Jobra.
The Hampta pass trek starts from AD Project junction. Today’s trek is a 2 hour easy ascent from 9700 ft to 10,400 ft through thick forest and crossing small bridge. While trekking we can see the Rani river on one side and a big rocky hill on the other. The trek passes through some of the most spectacular landscape. Overnight camp at Chika - Day 02 : Chika - Balu ka Ghera (05 hrs)
Today trek is a gradual ascent. While trekking we will be able to see the spectacular Dhauladhar range in the background and Indrasan peak in front. The best part of today’s trek that we have to cross two rivers one at the start just near to Chikka Campsite and other at Jwara Nala. We will have our packed lunch after crossing the Jwara nala. - Day 03: Balu ka Ghera - Seagoru Crossing Hampta Pass (14100 ft).
This is the most spectacular part of the trek as we cross the Hampta Pass and then descend to our camp site in Siagoru. From Hampta Pass you can see the Indrasan Peak and its gigantic glacier. Today’s trek will take us approximately 8hrs to reach Siagoru. The ascent on this part of the Hampta Pass trek will be moderate. - Day 04: Sheagoru - Chhatru - Chandertaal (04 hrs drive, 04 hrs trek)
If the weather permits and the roads are devoid of turbulence, then you can hike up to the marvelous Chandratal lake; also known as the moon lake. The Hampt Pass Trek starts with a gentle downhill walk from Shea Goru and in about an hour you will see the Chatru roadhead ahead of you. Our vehicle will pick you up from here and drive you to Batal (32 kms / 02 hrs). From here, the trek to Chandratal will take you around three hours, with packed lunch on the way. Chandratal literally means “moon lake” and is named so because of its crescent shape. You are now in the Spiti part of the Lahaul and Spiti district and you’re surrounded by snow-capped mountains all around! It’s a captivating sight indeed! - Day 05: Chandertaal - Manali (6-7 hrs drive)
After breakfast if you want to walk then back to Batal and then drive straight to Manali about 160 KM away, passing through Rohtang La on the way. Packed lunch will be served reroute. Tour ends with sweet memory forever.
